“Sustainability for people, animals and nature is at the center of our work together. The organization, in its characteristics, orientation and actions of its members, refers to the example of the intergenerational principles of the historical Föhr captain schools from the 16th to the 18th century as sustainable and intergenerational non-for-profit management academies through the success of more than 2,000 Captains emerged from the private navigation schools in Föhr on the North Frisian seafaring islands of Föhr, Amrum, Sylt and the Halligen as the intellectual and economic elite at the time of the insular seafaring companies, which have remained egalitarian to this day. In the same way, the association refers to the medical school of Hippocrates on the island of Kos as a historical medical leadership academy in front of approx. 2,500 years and thus promotes the future concept of training “health captains” on “health islands” and the promotion of “island partnerships” for sustainable “SMART ISLANDS”. The North Frisian Islands and Halligen in the Wadden Sea World Heritage are a common habitat: “Sünjhaid! to Rünjhaid! – TOGETHER FIRST “- The Leadership of RÜNJHAID!
